Many manufacturers have gotten into the large tablet space and Samsung is no exception. Its Galaxy TabPro S will be available starting Friday for $899.

The 12-inch tablet will be available at retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Sears, Fred Meyer, Target, Staples, ABC, Microsoft Store, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, RC Willey, H.H. Gregg, Fry’s, AAFES, HSN, Curaco, ABT, Adorama and others.

The Galaxy TabPro S will sell with a leather-textured case, which features a full-sized keyboard and multifunctional trackpad. The case allows users to set the tablet in two viewing configurations: 25 degrees for more lap focused usage and 65 degrees for more desk focused usage.

As Samsung continues its collaboration with Microsoft, the Galaxy TabPro S runs Windows 10 as its operating system. The tablet also includes a number of Samsung-centric features integrated into Microsoft’s Windows Hello quick sign in feature. With Samsung Flow, users can unlock their Galaxy TabPro S tablet with the fingerprint sensor on a Samsung handset, Galaxy S6 and later.

Samsung imagines uses such as allowing other users to access the tablet without having to constantly input a passcode. Users will get a prompt on their Galaxy TabPro S when someone tries to access the tablet. They can use the fingerprint scanner on their Samsung device to authenticate and unlock the tablet, orblock use of the tablet from their smartphone.

The Galaxy TabPro S also utilizes SideSync, much like older tablet models. The feature allows users to experience functionality of other connected devices, such as receiving and answering smartphone text messages. SideSync also allows users to play Android games on the Windows platform. Similarly, the Galaxy TabPro S supports Xbox game streaming, which allows users to play games on their tablet that are hosted from an Xbox console.

Another interesting feature automatically prompts users to use their Samsung smartphone as a Wi-Fi hotspot if Wi-Fi is not available.

Specs for the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S include a 12-inch display, an Intel Core m3 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel camera in the rear and front and a 5,200mAh battery.

The tablet includes a USB-Type C port and is compatible with USB A and HDMI via a connector cable (sold separately). The USB-Type C port supports Samsung’s fast charging capability, allowing the tablet to gain two hours of power in a 30 minute charge and five hours of power in a 60 minute charge. Fully charged, the Galaxy TabPro S can last up to 10 and a half hours.
