We're less than two months from the release of basketball simulation game NBA 2K20, and we have just received news that 2K Sports, in collaboration with Microsoft’s Xbox One, will be releasing a Special Edition bundle for the console and the upcoming sports video game.
The announcement was made by NBA superstar and cover athlete for NBA 2K20, Anthony Davis with popular 2K insider, Ronnie 2K at the Microsoft Lounge in Los Angeles. The announcement started off with an NBA 2K19 showdown between the two personalities, going down the wire to a last second finish with Ronnie 2K edging out the NBA superstar.
“I grew up playing NBA 2K on Xbox, and it’s a huge honor to see myself on the cover and have my own special edition bundle,” Davis said after the game. “I’ve been working nonstop this offseason to make sure I’m at the top of my game. The realistic game engine in NBA 2K on my Xbox One X puts me right on the court so I can get mentally ready for my first season in Los Angeles.”
There will be two special Xbox One console bundles. The first one is the Xbox One S NBA 2K20 bundle, which has the full game download and the 1TB version of the Xbox One S console along with a controller. The second one will be the “Hyperspace” Xbox One X NBA 2K20 Special Edition Bundle. The Xbox One X bundle will come with the full game download plus a limited-edition Xbox One X console that comes in a white and color-speckled design. The controller is also unique in that it features a pink and blue speckled d-pad and pink letters on its four main buttons. Each of the Bundles will come with 1TB of storage and cost $299 and $499 respectively.
Along with the console and the NBA 2K20’s Standard Edition, buyers receive 5,000 Virtual Currency, 5,000 MyTEAM Points, five MyCAREER Skill Boosts, a MyPLAYER Clothing Capsule, 10 MyTEAM League Packs delivered once per week and five Heat Check packs delivered once a week at the start of the NBA Season. Also, a month Xbox Live Gold subscription and a month of Xbox Game Pass membership will be included in the bundle.
The bundle will be coming out the same time as NBA 2K20 on September 6. Pre-orders are currently available on the Microsoft Store.
