World Of Warcraft Classic: The PvP Honor System Is Here

World of Warcraft Classic revealed that the PvP Honor System is finally here. With this, players get the chance to climb the ranks and earn more PvP rewards.

How does this system work? Well, when you fight against enemies that are within 10 levels of your own character and defeat them, you earn Honorable Kills. This lets you move forward in the PvP system which unlocks different rewards like, potions, cloaks, and trinkets.

However, not all Honorable Kills are given the same value. For example, if you kill the same enemy multiple time, the Honor gained decreases. The diminishing returns on repeated kills on a single target are:

• 1st: 100% of Honor
• 2nd: 75% of Honor
• 3rd: 50% of Honor
• 4th: 25% of Honor
• 5th (and beyond): 0% Honor

Diminishing honor applies as well to killing faction leaders. Don't worry, as the system resets the diminishing returns on a daily basis.

The value of the Honorable Kills are also going to be weighed against the rank and level of the defeated player. If you defeat players that have more PvP experience, you earn more contribution and reach a higher rank. It won't be the same when beating players who are new to the battlefield. Each week your rank is going to be updated based on the activity relative to other members of the faction. This means you really need to grind if you want to rise to the top of the rankings.

However, to prevent you from just going against everyone, you're going to be handed Dishonorable Kills for every civilian NPC you kill. This makes it difficult for you to reach higher ranks. There are a total of 14 ranks, with each giving new rewards.
