Rick will be at his lowest when we see him again in The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere. Unfortunately, he’ll have to deal with the consequences of his actions with Negan and that might mean losing control of Alexandria.

In the comics, Negan and his Saviors stop by Alexandria regularly to pick up supplies. Negan will threaten to move in some of his men to Alexandria and take over the community. However, Rick always tries to negotiate with Negan and is able to keep his men away.
However, Rick’s group brutally murdered Negan’s men in the show . They killed these people while they slept, something even Negan wouldn’t do. It wouldn’t be surprising if Rick loses control of Alexandria for a bit. It’s possible the residents of Alexandria won’t trust Rick’s ability to make decisions based on what’s best for the group. More importantly, there’s at least one person who will try to take Rick’s place: Spencer.
Deanna’s son Spencer had an interesting storyline in the comics. Spencer is angry Rick became Alexandria’s leader after his father (mother on the show) died. Spencer goes behind Rick’s back to try to get people on his side. Spencer also makes the mistake of trusting Negan with his true feelings about Rick. Spencer learns the hard way Negan isn’t someone you can trust.
However, there are more characters on the show that might turn against Rick. Someone who comes to mind is Carol’s brief love interest, Tobin. He was upset to learn Carol had left their home and would be upset with the group for not finding her. On top of losing Carol, Tobin might not like what Alexandria’s new “partnership” with Negan.
There’s also a possibility the Lucille survivors will start to turn against Rick, especially if someone they’re close to dies. Sasha and Rosita would hold a grudge against Rick if Abraham died and Maggie would definitely leave if Glenn was no longer in Alexandria. People would follow Maggie if she left.
