There’s something wrong with Morgan in the latest teaser clip for The Walking Dead Season 7 finale.
In the clip, we see King Ezekiel trying to speak to Morgan. Carol is standing with Ezekiel. It appears they might be on their way to Alexandria and possibly ran into Morgan. We wouldn’t be surprised is Morgan is “clearing out” walkers the way he did back in Atlanta after his son Dwayne’s death.
Morgan doesn’t say anything to Ezekiel, who tries to convince him to fight with them. Carol doesn’t say anything to Morgan. She just gives him a nod. Watch The Walking Dead Season 7 clip below to see what’s up with Morgan.
Now, the Morgan and Carol’s storylines in the comics are different. In The Walking Dead comics, both Carol and Morgan are long dead. Carol kills herself in the prison after she catches Michonne and Tyrese having sex. She just couldn’t stand the thought of being alone. Morgan dies after a walker catches him off guard and bites him in Alexandria.
Obviously the show has taken a lot of creative liberties with its source material. Carol is now fighting alongside King Ezekiel and taking on Michonne’s storyline from the comics. In The Walking Dead comics, Michonne is the one who connects with Ezekiel and they eventually become lovers. Morgan is in The Kingdom as well and going through a rough patch.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Morgan shows up to Alexandria to fight. We also wouldn’t be surprised if Morgan shows up to Alexandria to die. Losing Ben was like losing Dwayne for a second time. Morgan even called Ben by his son’s name after he killed Richard. Morgan knew if he had to kill someone again, he’d lose himself. He could never go back to being peaceful.
