Another year, another The Walking Dead season finale. This time around, fans can expect a roller coaster of emotions that will hopefully end on a less gruesome note than last year.

The Walking Dead Season 7 finale will be a hodgepodge of high and low moments. Seems like Rick might be in a win-lose situation, according to showrunner Scott Gimple’s latest comments to Entertainment Weekly.

“I will say it’s everything,” Gimple said. “It’s the highs and lows, brightness and darkness, alpha to omega, a quiet-loud-sad-happy-tragic-redemptive circus of emotion, anguish and grace. I hope people feel it all come together and have that rush you feel when the roller coaster finally coasts back to the platform.”

Don’t get your hopes up for a “happy” ending. There’s no way Sasha survives The Walking Dead Season 7 finale. That girl will show up to Alexandria’s gate DoA -- Dead on Arrival. We predict she will take Eugene’s pill on her way to Alexandria. By the time Negan finds out what Sasha did, it’ll be too late. Rick’s group will open fire on Negan’s crew, marking the first battle of the All Out War.

On a side note, can we talk about how predictable this season has been? There hasn’t really been a big twist, not even Dwight’s turncoat moment caught us by surprise. Yes, we’ve read the comics, but that has stopped us from being genuinely shocked. For example, Beth’s in The Walking Dead Season 5 caught us by surprise. Glenn’s dumpster moment in The Walking Dead Season 6 also was a shocker. There hasn’t really been an OMG moment in The Walking Dead Season 7. Maybe they’re saving it for the finale.

Will Rick win the fight? Probably. Rick’s group has worked for this win. Negan is probably going to underestimate his control over the other communities. It’ll be a brutal war, but it’ll making for an interesting The Walking Dead Season 8.

The Walking Dead Season 7 finale airs Sunday, April 2 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
