The Walking Dead Season 7 starts with what appears to be Father Gabriel abandoning ship. We want to believe he’s grown into a stronger person, let’s hope he has a plan or something. He wouldn’t just leave Alexandria without reason. Please let him not be a coward.

The next time we see Rick’s group is at the Hilltop meeting with Gregory. We all know what coward he is. Rick tries to get him to fight with them, but he fails. However, Enid comes through recruits for their cause at The Hilltop. Yas, Enid, yas gurl! Look at her being useful; she makes us proud.

So when Gregory the Coward denies them their help, Jesus decides it’s time to take them to The Kingdom. He requests an audience with King Ezekiel. Rick’s face when he’s called King Ezekiel is priceless. He’s all like, what?! Amazing.

Morgan let’s Rick know what happened with Carol. He tells Rick that Carol was shot and the doctors in The Kingdom helped her. We see Carol later in the show during an encounter with Benjamin, Morgan’s new bestie. Carol warns him about traveling alone. She’s set on staying away from The Kingdom, but Benjamin tells her Ezekiel will always check on her. Ezekiel is really trying to get with Carol. He can’t hide is thirst for her.

Anyways, Jesus introduces Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva. The group is shocked to see Shiva. They don’t want to approach her. Rick stats his case to fight the Saviors. Ezekiel is angry Jesus let them know about their involvement with The Saviors. Rick talks about the people who died. Rosita interjects, tells Morgan that people who died. ROSITA, STOP TALKING! Just stop. Go away. Being all rude to Morgan. Bye.

Meanwhile, King Ezekiel asks Morgan what he believes. He’s still convinced there’s a better way that to fight the Saviors. We don’t blame the guy. Too many people have died trying to kill Negan. It’s bad enough Alexandria lost Glenn, Abraham, Spencer and Olivia, but think about all the innocent people Rick’s group killed. Ezekiel tells Rick he’ll think about his cause. Unfortunately, Ezekiel can’t give Rick what he wants, but offers Daryl a safe place to hide from The Saviors.

Rick leaves Daryl behind, like a sad, sad, puppy. Rosita says something rude as fuck to Sasha. GO AWAY ROSITA.

Okay, we spoke too soon. Rosita redeems herself in the end. Somehow she has knowledge of explosives. They encounter a tripwire on the highway met to set off explosives when a herd comes through. And of course, a herd is on its way. Rosita is able to disable the explosives and they grab the dynamite sticks. But they cut it close. Rick and Michonne get in the car with the trip wire cable attached and they start running over zombies. You have to see it for yourself. What they pulled off was ridiculous.

Rick makes it back to Alexandria just in time for a visit from The Saviors. They’re looking for Daryl. They won’t find him because he’s in the Kingdom safe. However, Rick and the rest of the group find out Father Gabriel is gone. Rick refuses to believe Gabriel would betray him. Rick’s instinct is right, thank the lord Jesus. Gabriel has left Rick bread crumbs to follow, which leads them into a group of people with lots of guns. Rick smiles. He’s happy with what he sees.

Could Rick defeat Negan and The Saviors? No. Is he getting closer to taking down that son of a bitch? Yeah.
