In Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE , you’ll befriend a Mirage that will become your partner in battle. These Mirages will take the form of weapons called Carnage weapons.
As you progress through the story and get stronger, you will gain access to more powerful Carnage and more skills.
Skills are learned by using a specific Carnage in battle and gaining experience. Each Carnage has a specific set of Skills it can learn with some Carnages having the same Skills. When you learn a Skill that you’ve already learned, you can boost that Skill to either do more damage or eat less EP.
You’ll also learn Command Skills (your actual attacks), Session Skills (the type of Sessions you can chain with teammates) and Passives, which your Artist will gain.
