The first-person factory automation adventure Techtonica is coming to Steam Early Access this summer. This announcement from Fire Hose Games follows development-based feedback from the closed alpha and demo players. While waiting for the release, players can check out the game through a free demo on Steam.
The game is set in an alien world where players have to dig, mine, and gather resources, to make the most of what the planet can offer.
Key game features include:

- Explore the cavernous depths of the planet surrounded by bioluminescent flora.

- Power mining and production using dynamic and interlinked factory systems.
- Complete Automation
- Conveyor belts and unique travel systems ensure that sprawling and automated factories are easier to build and connect.

- Start small and get massive with gameplay systems that continually evolve with new challenges and solutions.
- Aural Nirvana
- Play the game while enjoying the build-inspiring original soundtrack from Cityfires (20XX, Catlateral Damage: Remeowstered).
- Co-Op
- The game can be played alone or with up to four-player co-op.
In a statement, Fire Hose Games President Eitan Glinert shared that with Techtonica, they wanted to offer a “different kind of automation game.” He added that the game comes with a story which explains why players are where they are and what’s the motivation behind building the factory.
Glinert went on to say that they set the game in an alien world drifting across the void and one where they need to dig and discover a cave system teeming with glowing life. Players can also look forward to a layered mystery.
