The rhythm game Taiko No Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch this September 23. Pre-orders for the Standard Edition are now available along with the Taiko No Tatsujin Drum Controller.

A Digital Standard Edition is also offered, along with the Digital Deluxe Edition, which comes with 90-day access to the Taiko Music Pass.

Meet Kumo-Kyun

In the game, players get to sharpen their drumming skills in Taiko Mode which has 76 songs. There is also the Story Mode where players go on a journey to becoming a Drum Master. They are accompanied on this adventure by DON-Chan and Kumo-Kyun.

Kumo-Kyun is a new character that players meet in Omiko City. He’s going to serve as the player’s guide through the city and help them transform into different shapes. This is what makes the game truly exciting as the sound of drums being played by both the player and DON-Chan, combined with the Thunder Power of Kumo-Kyun, is sure to excite the city.

Drum Up the Competition

Players who are confident in their drumming skills can join online battles or play with friends through “couch co-op” Party Mode. The game also allows customization via costumes and nameplates which players can personalize by earning “Don Coins” when they play. In addition, players who retain their save data for Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum ‘N’ Fun get not only three bonus songs but also customization items.
