The first trailer for Archer Season 7 has arrived and it looks like the spy series will be returning to the full-season pastiche seen in the Miami Vice themed Archer Season 5, Archer Vice. Archer Season 7 looks to take the homage back to the 80s once more, this time for a Magnum, P.I. look that they’re calling Archer P.I. (what, no comma!?).

The first trailer for Archer P.I. is full of kung fu masters, baseball caps, mustaches , fast cars and helicopters. Oh, and Pam in a rodeo clown outfit for some reason.

Archer Season 5 saw the spy organization formerly known as ISIS run afoul of the CIA (it turns out they were never operating legally). After a brief and disastrous attempt at turning a profit in the international drug trade, Archer Season 6 brought Mallory, Sterling, Lana, Ray and Pam under the direct control of the CIA. Several disastrous missions later and our favorite spying organization was once again on the outs, permanently banned from the international intelligence community.

It looks like Archer Season 7 will take the crew low-rent, scraping by as private eyes.

We’ll see how hard that is (phrasing, boom) when Archer Season 7 premieres on March 31 on FX.
