The latest John Cena injury update comes courtesy of the WWE superstar’s Twitter account . Wrestlingnews.co reports John Cena posted this short video to Twitter showing him doing squats with a bare bar as he recovers from shoulder surgery to repair a complete tear of a small portion of the rear rotator cuff tendon.

When news of the injury first spread it appeared to be a serious setback for the WrestleMania card , already looking light due to a spate of injuries among top superstars (Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan , Cesaro, etc). But they don’t call him “Super Cena” for nothing, and the 15-time WWE champ is well-known for his recuperative prowess. Fans and WWE officials alike are hoping for a speedy recovery, and the iDigitalTimes staff has been speculating he could be earmarked as the opponent for The Undertaker this year. Taker’s absence on TV as we head down “the road to WrestleMania” isn’t out-of-character for the reclusive superstar, and his own health problems signal the need for him to work with a veteran in-ring worker like John Cena.

What do you think? Will Super Cena beat the odds and have a WrestleMania match? Or will his injury keep him stuck doing in-ring promos and maybe special guest reffing? Let us know in the comments.
