‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Spoilers: Verified Leaker Explains General Leia Organa’s Role In The Movie [RUMOR]

This 'Force Awakens' scene between Rey and Luke Skywalker seems almost certain to carry over to 'Star Wars: Episode 8' Disney

The summer before the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens an IMDb commenter claiming to work on the Pinewood Studios Star Wars set released detailed descriptions of several sets that eventually appeared in the film (including the Imperial installation where Han Solo died). Now Mr_Ghostface_Lives is back with a major plot leak for Star Wars: Episode 8.

Here’s the full text of the Episode 8 rumor (originally uncovered by Making Star Wars):

“First of all, Luke is not Rey's father. If you really can't let go of this, watch Episode VII again and pay attention. He is not revealed to be her father in Episode VIII, not will he be in Episode IX.

The second, and more exciting one, is that Leia uses the Force in Episode VIII. It's unfortunately true that they've minimised her screen time by writing her out after an attack early on, but the really cool thing about the sequence is that Leia survives only because she uses the Force. That's all the detail you're getting, but it's a fact.

I appreciate the need for evidence, but come next year, you'll know it's correct.”

This would seem to verify earlier plot leaks that suggested General Leia would have a reduced role in the plot of Star Wars: Episode 8 , with Laura Dern’s character largely supplanting Leia’s military role after she’s injured in an attack.

But Leia using the Force is completely new information, assuming it proves true. It seems for the Skywalkers at least, the Force truly is awakening.

Star Wars: Episode 8 is out in theaters Dec. 15, 2017.
