'Skyrim Remastered' Is Gold, PC System Specs And Download Size Revealed

Bethesda has confirmed that Skyrim Special Edition has gone gold. This special edition, releasing Oct. 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, includes improved art and effects, better lighting and -- most importantly -- mod support on PS4 and Xbox One.

In addition to announcing gold status, Bethesda has also released the PC system specs for Skyrim Special Edition. The minimum and recommended specs are as follows:

8GB of RAM
12 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 470 1GB /AMD HD 7870 2GB

Recommended

8GB of RAM
12 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB /AMD R9 290 4GB

Xbox One gamers in North America, you’ll need 17GB free storage space. In Europe, Xbox One gamers will need 25GB. PS4 gamers in America, you’ll need 20GB of free space. PS4 gamers in Europe will need 33GB.

It has also been confirmed mods will be coming to PS4 the same day that Skyrim Special Edition is released. Mods will be coming to Fallout 4 on PS4 at a later date.
