Remember when Samurai Jack was supposed to return in 2016 on Adult Swim? Yea, well it didn’t happen, and there hasn’t been any news regarding new episodes of Genndy Tartakovsky's critically-acclaimed animated series, until now.

During Adult Swim ’s Sunday night block of programming, the release date for Samurai Jack was revealed in their patented bumpers where they answer fan questions from social media.

Samurai Jack is set to premiere on Adult Swim March 11 at 11:30 p.m.

Here’s the bumper revealing the premiere date.

Samura Jack was cancelled before the story could finish back in 2004 after a three-year run. Toonami announced the return of the series back in 2015 with brand new episodes from series creator Genndy Tartakovsky.

Here’s the 2015 official statement from Toonami.

“Adult Swim is excited to announce that JACK IS BACK. Creator and executive producer Genndy Tartakovsky continues the epic story of Samurai Jack with a new season that will premiere on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in 2016.

The new season is currently in production in Los Angeles at Cartoon Network Studios.”
