Samsung announced last Friday new Galaxy Note 7 handsets will ship in the U.S. by Wednesday at the latest. The manufacturer has now released details on how users will be able to find out whether their Note 7 is outfitted with a safe battery that won’t explode.

As previously reported by ZDnet, the safe Galaxy Note 7 indicator will be a green battery status icon. Users will be able to view this icon from the status bar, the always-on display and the power off screen, according to Samsung .

The battery status icon, which determines how much power is left on a handset, was white on older models of the Galaxy Note 7.

Additionally, users will be able to identify a safe Galaxy Note 7 handset from a square symbody, which will be located on the barcode of the smartphone’s packaging.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been official recalled since last Friday; however, Samsung initiated directives for consumers to return handsets on Sept. 2.

While Samsung has issued an apology for the malfunctioning smartphones, users who have experienced device explosions are beginning to take action. A Florida man, Jonathan Strobel, recently filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer after his Galaxy Note 7 exploded in his pocket, causing burns to his thigh and thumb.

There have been 92 incidents of Galaxy Note 7 overheating leading to damage of some sort, including property damage and burns, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Samsung established an exchange program on Sept. 2, in which owners could get a temporary replacement device until new Galaxy Note 7 handsets were available; however, recent reports indicate the program is not valid for those who purchased the device through Samsung.com. The directive for such customers is to return the handsets and repurchase another once it is again on sale.

Venture Beat has reported, the Galaxy Note 7 may not be available for purchase once again until Oct. 21
