Rodeo Stampede players rejoice! The devs at Featherweight Games have just released a new update to their popular new endless runner game, Rodeo Stampede, and with it comes a new map and animals of the Australian Outback! Reminiscent of Crossy Road gameplay, Rodeo Stampede takes players deep into the Savannah, Mountain regions and other exotic habitats where the goal is to tame and befriend native animals. Once tamed, players collect and showcase their finds in an epic Safari Sky Zoo.

Though it’s been a couple months since the last animal update, with the new October offering Rodeo Stampede players are introduced to the wild world of the Australian Outback. The new map comes with a uniquely designed terrain that houses 49 new and hidden animals. The update also includes 21 new hats to acquire as well, making it the biggest one the game has seen so far. While the update is currently only released to iOS players, the Android version of the game is scheduled to drop on the Google Play store in the near future.

In a press release about the new update, Rodeo Stampede publisher, Yodo1 gives us a nice overview of what players can expect in the new Australian Outback update.

“The Outback will be a dangerous place to explore, filled with harsh hazards and deadly but cute wildlife, making Rodeo Stampede’s fourth world the most thrilling yet.

In addition to a brand new level, the Outback will add 49 new animal species for players to ride and tame, from seven distinct genus. Among the new creatures are Australia’s mythical Dropbears, which hide in trees to pounce on unsuspecting victims. However, Dropbears can be ridden if players manage to jump on them first.

Players will also need to be wary of a new environmental danger, fire! If a rider catches on fire they will have a few moments to save themselves from getting roasted, by quickly jumping in water.”

As soon as the update dropped, we at iDigitalTimes got right to work trying to unlock as many of the new and secret hidden mission animals as we possibly could and build them into a list for our readers to access. While right now our list isn’t very extensive (we aren’t even sure what all the animal categories are!) as we unlock more, we’ll continue to add them to our list. In past updates players in the Rodeo Stampede community have been a great help in finding and unlocking secret animals in the game. If you’ve managed to unlock any of the Australian Outback animals that aren't found on the list below, please do share in the comments or via an email to c.harbison@idigitaltimes.com. As soon as we receive them, we'll add them to the list -- with a shout out to you, of course, for the tip!

Rodeo Stampede developers tend to release six or seven varieties of a given animal species, often including a boss mission animal and a secret animal for each. Since there are 49 new animals in the Outback update, our guess is that there will be seven species of animals to capture, with seven different variations. So far we’ve found four species: Kangaroo, Sheep, Dropbear (Koala) and Wombat. Check out the listings below.
