The next addition to Rocket League was announced last weekend, during the Rocket League Championship Series, and the next update for Psyonix’s smash-hit “soccer with cars” game will introduce several new tools for players (and their opponents) to use on the pitch.

Rumble was officially announced on Saturday, during the live finals for the first annual Rocket League Championship Series, and it’s probably fair to assume it’s one of the most anticipated additions to Psyonix’s masterpiece since the game debuted last summer. The new mode will introduce a variety of weapons to Rocket League, from ball magnets to tornados and spring-loaded boxing gloves. And all of them can be used to clear your path to the goal. At the very least, they’ll make life much harder for those trying to stop you.

While the new mode doesn’t have an official release date yet, Psyonix says Rocket League fans can expect the game’s latest addition to arrive sometime next month. We also don’t know whether Rumble will be a standalone game type, with specific rules and player limits, or if its a new rule set that can be enabled in games of any size. The only safe assumption, at this point, is that we probably won’t see the Rumble content in Rocket League’s competitive matchmaking.

For a closer look at Rocket League’s newest game type, take a few minutes to watch the new Rumble trailer that debuted over the weekend. Then head down to the comments section and share your current impressions of the next big addition to Rocket League.
