The dream is about to become a reality! Microsoft has just confirmed that Xbox Live will soon be opened up to allow for cross-platform play. This won’t be limited to Windows 10 either: PC and PS4 will be welcomed in as well.

Unfortunately, it seems that cross-platform play will not come all at once, but as each game gets approved. But all that doesn’t matter, because Rocket League will be the first game getting included in the cross-platform program!

Rocket League will soon be cross-platform between PC and Xbox One. An open invitation has been offered to other platforms (that is to say, PS4) and if accepted, you can play everyone’s favorite automotive soccer game with all of your friends, regardless of platform.

I guess what I’m trying to say is: ROCKET LEAGUE PARTY AT MY HOUSE, AND YOU’RE ALL INVITED.

Microsoft has yet to reveal when the cross-platform program will launch, but people should expect to hear something soon. The game #IDARB is already testing the cross-platform support, and tweeting at @idarbgame might get you a chance to test it out for yourself.

So what do you think? Are you excited to be able to play Rocket League with your friends on other platforms? What other games do you hope get included in the program? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
