Winter has arrived in Riders Republic. Get ready for Season 9: Winter Season which introduces new holiday-themed events and challenges. There's also a wintery makeover done for Riders Ridge with a chance to get the skateboard sport for free.
Season 9 is set to run for 13 weeks and during each week introduces six Live Events, two Live Areas, and a rotation of Mass Races, Special Mass Races, and Warrior Mass Races. One Live Event and one Live Area each week is going to focus on skateboards and available free to all players. This includes those who have yet to but the Skate add-on. By taking part in the weekly challenges and events, players can go through 20 new tiers of Season Progression and earn new rewards along the way.
Here are the major events to look forward to in Season 9:
- Holiday Season Celebration (December 20 to January 3)
- Take on the free weekly challenges and earn themed rewards.
- Get to tackle Special Mass Races.
- The Cartoon Pack debuts during period.
- It contains:
- new outfit
- goggles
- glasses which activate a cartoon filter on the player's screen.
- Offered at 50% off during the first two weeks.
- New Year's Eve (December 31 to January 2)
- Ring in the New Year with a continuous fireworks display that lasts for two days straight.
- Players can get extra-celebratory by grabbing a new outfit with animated patterns and FX from the in-game store.
- Enjoy some special events that's set at night to embrace the New Year's Eve atmosphere.
- X Games Winter Edition (January 24 to January 31)
- The X Games returns to the game through a special tournament.
- Everyone is invited to join and compete throughout the week in a snow-themed Live Event, and in a Live Area at the X Games Halfpipe in The Deck.
- Lunar New Year (February 7 to February 14)
- Celebrates the Lunar New Year with a series of two dedicated Live Events that feature bikes and rocket wings.
- Head on to the Live Area in Mammoth Village and try to score as many points as possible on snowboards.
- Those who participate get a free themed helmet.
- The events are also a chance to try out the Legend of the Dragon outfit.
- Available for purchase from the in-game store.
