The game offers beautiful backgrounds, 2D sprites, and a fast-paced arcade style game, one that not only wrestling fans, but even gamers in general are sure to love. RetroMania Wrestling brings with it a fresh alternative to the current offerings in the professional wrestling genre. At launch, players get to choose from 16 wrestling superstars that include:

  • Animal
  • Hawk
  • Tommy Dreamer

Developer Retrosoft Studios confirmed that additional starts are going to be added as the game gets closer to the release date.

Players get the chance to enjoy different types of matches like one-on-one, tag team fights, and the classic Battle Royal. Upon release, the game can pit two to eight players locally with online feature still to be determined. In addition to all of these features, there are at least 700 frames of animations and even multiple outfits for each wrestler. Superstars even have ring entrances.

To pump up the excitement, RetroMania Wrestling is also adding the promotion House of Hardcore in the game. Founded in 2012, House of Hardcore was created by Tommy Dreamer and in the game players can wrestle opponents and compete for the HOH Television Championship.

WrestleFest was a game that simulated professional wrestling matches. The game supported up to four players playing simultaneously. Players can tag a partner and can even perform double team moves. WrestleFest offered players two modes. The first was Saturday Night’s Main Event, where players need to choose two wrestlers and form a tag team. They then go through a series of matches that include a title match with the Legion of Doom. Upon winning, the player needs to go through everything again to complete the game. The second mode is the Royal Rumble, where the player this time chooses one superstar.
