Rainbow Six Siege's EU League 2020 ttage two concluded its first playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The EU League had some really exciting matches to watch this playday, with all the matches played as a best of one format. We got to see different maps in play, teaching us new strategies that can be implemented into our own games.

The matchup between G2 Esports and Team Secret was the most anticipated match of the first playday. The match was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which G2 are really dominant at. However, Secret countered G2 really well on both attack and defense rounds. It was really surprising to see Secret take the map by dominating G2. The final scoreline was 7-2 in favor of Secret.

The best matchup to watch was between Team BDS and Chaos. The match was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. BDS were able to perform decently during their attacking split, which led them to a 4-2 split. Then on BDS’s defense, they were able to stop Chaos in their tracks. This allowed BDS to take the map with a 7-3 scoreline.

Another good match to watch was between Rogue and Team Empire. Team Empire didn’t really place that well during stage 1 of the EU league, but they now look stronger than before. The two teams duked it out on Consulate, which is an attacker-sided map. While Rogue showed us many new strategies, Empire stuck to their basics and won the map with a 7-2 scoreline.
