Rainbow Six Siege will finish its Year 4 content in a few weeks, and has already begun its journey into Year 5. To no one's surprise, Ubisoft announced a new Year Pass for the game that will give additional benefits and exclusive items to players. The Year 5 Pass is available for purchase for only $24.99. You can read what the Pass offers and decide whether you want to buy it or not below.

Year 5 Pass owners will get instant access to all six upcoming operators, including the recently announced Oryx and Iana. Players who did not purchase the Year Pass can unlock these operators one week after they are released for 25000 Renown each. The other four characters will be released later this year, but haven't been announced just yet.

You will also get six uniforms and headgear, along with one Hexagon charm that you can show off to your friends and those on the enemy team. A new skin called Aurous Alabaster Signature Weapon Skin will be given to all Year 5 Pass owners. Jager will also get some love with a brand new Jager Byte Set.

The Year 5 Pass will offer Battle Pass privileges that include 30% faster battle pass progression, which means that you can unlock new items faster. The Premium Battle Pass Track can be purchased with a 30% discount.

That’s not all, though, as a Year 5 Pass also offers VIP privileges. This gives you a five percent boost for Renown and 0.3 percent boost for Alpha Packs. You will also get a 10 percent discount on all in-game store purchases. Do keep in mind that the 10 percent discount on the store is only valid on Renown and R6 Credits purchases. VIP privileges will end on January 31, 2021, and after that, we assume a Year 6 pass will be made available.

Year 5 will begin with the Void Edge season, which is currently live on Test Servers. It offers two new operators, a reworked map, balancing changes, and much more. You can read about it over here.

So what do you think? Are you interested in the Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Pass? Or do you have no problem waiting one week for new operators? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
