Steam has confirmed that the PS5's DualSense controllers are supported by the platform, but only partially. The controller's much-lauded haptic feedback and adaptive triggers do not work on Steam in the same way that they do on the PS5, but according to Steam, these features will become available later.

According to contrary beliefs, PC players do enjoy gaming with controllers, and Valve knows this. Despite Steam being a PC platform, Valve has ensured that a variety of controllers are supported by the software, including the recently released PS5 DualSense controller. Steam already has its own controller, and previous controllers from Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo also work without any issues on the platform.

Along with the PS5's impressive hardware, the DualSense controller also has a lot going for it. The DualSense controller is regarded as the most ergonomic controller that Sony has ever made, offers better haptic feedback, allows for voice chat, offers a touchpad, supports motion control, and more.

Now, who wouldn't want such a controller? It's impressive and offers a ton of features that many gamers want. Fans have been speaking about the controller already. Many even claim that the new controller takes their gaming experience to the next level. Since I haven't experienced the controller myself, I cannot talk much about it, but the more I hear of it, the more excited I grow to want to try the PlayStation 5 and the DualSense controller.

On the flip side, the Xbox Series X controller is fully supported by Steam, and one of the reasons for that is because the Xbox Series X controller is very similar to the previous generation's Xbox One controllers.

Controllers are a great choice for enjoying action-adventure games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3, and even racing games. It's also great to see that Valve is actively working on making Steam the best PC platform it can be by implementing quality of life updates.
