The PS+ free games list for September 2017 has officially been revealed, proving that yesterday’s leak was legit. This means we already know two of the games featured; however, Sony is offering some extra bonuses this month. That means there are eight games coming to PS+ subscribers this month instead of the normal six.

PS4

The first PS4 game is inFAMOUS: Second Son. This continuation of the inFAMOUS franchise features a new story and hero (or villain, depending on how you play). While the locations and faces may be different, the electricity-based superhero gameplay is still as fun as ever.

The second PS4 game coming in September is Child of Light. This 2D RPG-platformer tells the story of Aurora, a girl who contracts a mysterious illness and wakes up in the strange world of Lemuria. It’s up to Aurora to take down the Dark Queen Umbra and restore power to the Queen of Light.

Bonus Games

The first bonus game, That’s You, has been available for the past few months on PS+. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, the PS4 game will be free to download through September. That’s You is a light game where everyone uses their cell phones to play along.

The second bonus game for PS4 is RIGS: Mechanized Combat League. The catch with RIGS is you need a PSVR headset in order to play. That said, this robotic sports game is fast and addicting. Just make sure you don’t easily get motion sickness before putting a headset on.

PS3

The first PS3 game free to PS+ subscribers in September is Truck Racer. It’s one of the most generic names for a game ever, and the gameplay isn’t much more inspired. Players drive semi truck cabs around race tracks. That’s about it.

The second PS3 game in September is Handball 2016. Handball, for those Americans who haven’t seen the sport from coverage of the Summer Olympics, is basically a weird mix of basketball and soccer. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about handball, now’s the perfect time to try out the video game version of the sport.

PS Vita

The first PS Vita game, also playable on PS4 thanks to cross-buy, is the minimalist twin stick shooter We Are Doomed. Players control a small, white blob that blasts away at other different colored shapes. Survive for as long as possible while racking up some high scores.

The last game offered in September is Hatoful Boyfriend. This bizarre dating sim features an entire cast of pigeons. Wait, what? Yeah, I don’t know. Just watch the trailer and laugh along with everyone else. Hatoful Boyfriend is also available on PS4 through cross-buy.

So what do you think? Are you excited to play any of the games coming in September? What games do you hope get included in the PS+ games for October? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
