Pretty Little Liars will premiere with a suspenseful plot come June 21. We already know that Hanna is missing, having been kidnapped by the new “Uber A,” but could she be dead? Two promo videos for Pretty Little Liars Season 7 released in recent days not only show the Liars in a frantic search for their lost friend, but also show the girls extremely nervous over someone who may be dead. We say “may” because you never know in this show.
In one promo, we see the Liars digging a grave in an ominous wooded area. Emily is distraught, suggesting there must be another way to resolve their problem; however, Spencer says, “It was a well thought out plan. When it ends like this it’s called murder.” Currently, there is no indication as to what Liars’ plan was or why it went wrong.
The most recent promo is a preview of the premiere episode of Pretty Little Liars Season 7, called “Tick-Tock, Bitches.” In this video, we learn that “Uber A” has given the Liars 24 hours to find Hanna. We see Aria reading a text from their stalker, which says “The bell tolls for Hanna” as the Liars and their friend stand outside of the local church.
In this promo, we also see a scene of a blonde woman lying unconscious on the floor with no pants. Another scene shows when the Liars discover someone strung up by the shoulders and hanging from the tower of the local church. Are either of these people Hanna? There’s a possibility, but nothing is certain. They could be Alison, or even Cece. Pretty Little Liars logic indicates that a body and a funeral does not indicate death.
Season 7 is expected to follow Mary Drake, who is the twin sister of Alison DiLaurentis’ late mother, Jessica, and the mother of her late cousin, Cece. Mary is also featured in the promos. One video shows her telling Spencer that some family secrets are people.
Pretty Little Liars will return to Freeform June 21 at 8 p.m. EDT.
