In a rather surprise announcement, the arcade version of Pokken Tournament will be adding another character to the roster of fighting Pokémon on Oct. 13.

According to the official Pokken Tournament Twitter account, the fighting game featuring the first time players can control a Pokémon’s every movement will be adding its first new character since Darkrai was added back in July .

Here’s the official Pokken Tournament announcement below.

While Darkrai was a bit of a surprise, this next new character can be as well. However, when the Darkrai update was implement in Pokken Tournament, some data miners found the data for two new Pokémon . These two Pokémon are Empoleon and Scizor.

Both Scizor and Empoleon would work well in Pokken Tournament. They are both bipedal and have tools to help them win many battles.

Scizor also has a Mega Evolution that will go well with the Burst Attack mechanic of Pokken Tournament.

Darkrai was added in July to the arcade version of Pokken Tournament and this new character will be added to that version as well. There has yet to be an announcement of when Darkrai or this new Pokémon will be included in the Wii U version yet but we will update when that release date comes.

So which Pokemon do you think will be added in Pokken Tournament this October? Let us know your predictions in the comments section below.
