Pokémon GO: Prepare to Defend When Ultra Beasts Arrive November 27

Attention trainers! If you’ve been following what’s happening in Pokémon GO, you’ve probably realized that Ultra Beasts have been appearing in greater numbers in the past few months, but that’s just a taste of what’s coming. Be ready when Ultra Beast Arrival: Global goes live on November 27.

From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time) on November 27, these Ultra Beasts are going to appear in five-star Raids. There are different ones for each region as follows:

  • Americas
    • Nihilego
    • Buzzwole
    • Guzzlord
  • Asia-Pacific
    • Nihilego
    • Xurkitree
    • Guzzlord
  • Europe
    • Nihilego
    • Pheromosa
    • Guzzlord
  • Northern hemisphere
    • Kartana
  • Southern hemisphere
    • Celesteela

Timed Research

One of the things that trainers can look forward to during the event is the Timed Research focused on Raid Battles. Those able to complete the research tasks can encounter these Ultra Beasts:

  • Nihilego
  • Buzzwole
  • Pheromosa
  • Xurkitree
  • Guzzlord
  • Celesteela
  • Kartana

Work as a Team

There’s still a number of days before the big day arrives. Before that, trainers can combine efforts with others worldwide to get extra rewards. As trainers meet the challenges focused on referring friends to join, new bonuses become available for everyone during Ultra Beast Arrival: Global. These are:

  • 50,000 Trainers referred
    • All Trainers receive a Lure Module via a bundle in the in-game shop.
  • 100,000 Trainers referred
    • All Trainers can use Beast Balls when facing Ultra Beasts during Ultra Beast Arrival: Global.

Event Bonuses

Of course, it won’t be a Pokémon GO event without bonuses. There are some exciting ones in this upcoming event, which are:

  • 1.25X more XP for winning Raid Battles against Ultra Beasts.
  • Increased chance to receive Rare Candy XL from in-person Raid Battles.
  • Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs during the event and up to two hours afterward.

If that’s not enough, there are also bonuses for groups. Once an Ultra Beast has been defeated in a Raid Battle, these Pokémon appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for a short time:

  • Machoke
  • Scyther
  • Magmar
  • Gulpin
  • Absol
  • Minccino
  • Frillish
  • Dedenne
