Celebrate This Season With The Pokémon GO Holidays Event

It’s the season of celebration and what better way than to join the Pokémon GO Holidays event. Trainers can expect to meet some Ice-type Pokémon that’s never been seen before in the game. It will start on December 22 at 8:00 AM (local time) until December 31 at 10:00 PM (local time).

Here are the features that Trainers can expect for this upcoming event:

• Pokémon wearing holiday-themed costumes are going to appear in the game:
  • Pikachu
  • Delibird
  • Cubchoo
• Ice-type Pokémon are going to appear more frequently in the wild:
  • Spheal
  • Snover
  • Vanillite
• These Pokémon are going to hatch from 5 km Eggs:
  • Seel
  • Swinub
  • Smoochum
  • Snorunt
  • Snover
  • Vanillite
• These Pokémon are going to appear in Raid Battles:
  • Alolan Sandshrew
  • Dewgong
  • Jynx
  • Sneasel
  • Swinub
  • Walrein
  • Cubchoo
  • Cryogonal
• Mega Abomasnow is set to appear in Mega Raids.
• Event-exclusive Field Research tasks reward Trainers with the chance to encounter Pokémon like Vanillite and Cryogonal.
• Winter-themed avatar items are coming to the shop that include:
  • Greedent Sweater
  • Whimsicott Earmuffs
  • Winter Boots
  • Winter Coat
• Get holiday-themed stickers from PokéStops, Gifts, and the shop.
  • Get stickers that feature, among others, Alolan Vulpix, Croagunk, and Whimsicott.
  • These won’t be available once the event is offer to get them while you can.

• December 24 at 12:00 AM (local time) to December 25 at 11:59 PM (local time):
  • 2× Catch Candy
• December 26 at 12:00 AM (local time) to December 27 at 11:59 PM (local time):
  • 2× Star Piece duration
• December 28 at 12:00 AM (local time) to December 29 at 11:59 PM (local time):
  • 2× Lucky Egg duration
• December 30 at 12:00 AM (local time) to December 31 at 11:59 PM (local time):
  • 2× Catch Stardust

  • Open more Gifts each day.
    • For the duration of the event, the number of Gifts that can be opened daily increase to 45.
  • Carry more Gifts.
    • For the duration of the event, the number of Gifts that can be carried in the Item Bag increase to 40.

Something Special

There’s also a special winter event from December 26 at 8:00 AM (local time) to December 27 at 10:00 PM (local time).

This one features the return of Regice in Raids. Plus, there’s an event-exclusive AR Mapping task. Upon completion, it will reward Trainers with Incenses, among many others. Finally, these Pokémon will become more attracted to Incense: Delibird, Snorunt, Spheal, Snover, Cryogonal, and Cubchoo.
