One game that seems to exceed expectations annually is Pro Evolution Soccer. While EA Sports’ FIFA franchise receives massive praise and accolades, Konami’s PES is a game that some hardcore soccer gamers prefer over FIFA. PES 2017 , released on Sept. 15, brings many new features and will also offer a special mode, called the UEFA Champions League special agent promotion , which will only be available for one week beginning Sept. 22.
From Sept. 22 through Sept. 29, PES 2017 players will have an opportunity to get the top players from teams playing in the UEFA Champions League group stage. In addition to those players, you will also have the opportunity to obtain 11 players from UEFA’s Team of the Year 2015.
So how does this work? Select players on any of the teams in the UEFA Champions League that have an overall rating of 75 and over. You can also pick up players with an 80 or above for one-time use. In addition to players, team managers in the UEFA Champions League will also be on the list as you play in this mode. Finally, you can obtain a UEFA Champions League special agent as an award if you beat teams that play in the PES 2017 vs. Com Challenge Cup.
In other Pro Evolution Soccer news, also going live on Sept. 22 is the launch of PES myClub. Similar to EA Sports’ Ultimate Team, PES 2017 players will be able to put together the best team they can, based on how they play in PES and the rewards they receive. Players will also be given access to a special agent, four startup agents that represent key on-pitch positions, and 10,000 GP currency, ahead of the mode’s transaction option going live on Sept. 22.
While EA Sports has over 650 teams at their disposal, PES 2017 has a lot less teams in its game. One of the teams it does have, however, is one of the most famed soccer clubs in the world – FC Barcelona. The PES and FC Barcelona relationship continues to grow as Konami has unlimited access to Barcelona legends. PES 2017’s myClub mode features names like Rivaldo, Luis Enrique, and Ronaldinho are among the greats that are included in this mode.
