Game Director Henrik Fåhraeus shared in a statement that the upcoming release is a grand medieval simulator where players are free to live out any plausible ruler fantasy they could think of but with challenges along the way. He added that the way "its predecessor explode[d] in popularity was very satisfying, especially considering that user friendliness was never our primary goal. Now we have a chance to address an even larger audience.”

Additional details about the game will be released in the next few months.

For those curious about this new game, they can practice their skills as a ruler with Crusader Kings II. Even better news, it's going to be available as free download to everyone.
