Just announced at this year’s PAX South, a new Penny Arcade Expo will be coming to Philadelphia this year, making a grand total of five PAX conventions for 2017.

PAX Unplugged will focus on tabletop games and board games, while maintaining the same PAX vibe the other conventions have. There will still be panels, concerts and tournaments for attendees, and you know there will be hundreds of other gamers looking to play that one rare board game you have that you can never find enough people interested in. You know that game.

"With the rise of popularity of board games, we wanted to provide a dedicated space where fans can come together," said Jerry Holkins, co-founder of Penny Arcade, in a press statement. "We will continue to have tabletop games at every PAX, but Unplugged will focus on stepping away from the TV, monitor and phone to foster face-to-face multiplayer experiences."

The first PAX Unplugged will take place from Nov. 17 to 19 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Tickets go on sale this spring, but no specific dates have been confirmed as of yet. For more information follow the PAX Unplugged site and official Twitter account.
