Developer Owlcat Games and publisher Prime Matter have announced a September 29 launch date for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous , the strategy RPG title first released on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store last September 2, 2021. This release is called an Enhanced Edition of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and all the bonuses that come with it will be available as part of a free upgrade for the PC version. That said, Switch fans will have to weigh in on this version, as Prime Matter has confirmed that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous on the Nintendo console will be cloud-based instead of a native port.

In addition to this full re-release, PC players will be able to purchase the third major DLC for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous on August 11. Called Treasure of the Midnight Isles, Prime Matter has released a new trailer for the DLC which you can check out below.

The new DLC will include the following features:

  • A new archipelago to explore, full of treasures and dangers. It will be playable via a standalone roguelike mode or as part of the main campaign.
  • New builds and party compositions, including mythic paths.
  • Carryover progression in the case of the death of your party.
  • New magic weapons, potions, and scrolls, as well as new enemies.
  • Discover the secret of the ship that takes you on your journeys in the new campaign.

The DLC will be available both as a standalone purchase or as part of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Season Pass.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is the follow-up entry to Pathfinder: Kingmaker, a strategy RPG set in the popular Pathfinder series of tabletop fantasy RPGs. Both games were funded via successful Kickstarter campaigns, and have received critical success.

The Enhanced Edition of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will also come with another special feature on PC as it releases for consoles: controller support, which is requested due to the launch and popularity of Steam Deck. Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous features 25 classes and 12 different character races for a wide variety of customization options in your journey.
