Overwatch 2 beta is now in full swing, and the developers have launched a new patch that brought balancing adjustments to certain heroes.

Doomfist and Symmetra got some notable buffs in the latest beta update. Doomfist’s Power Block now only requires 90 mitigated damage to empower his Rocket Punch. Moreover, the movement speed penalty while blocking is reduced to 35%. Besides that, his Rocket Punch now deals damage to all knocked-back enemies instead of the first target hit. This change is pretty significant, considering that a carefully placed Rocket Punch can knock almost the entire enemy squad back.

Symmetra mains will definitely love the changes made to her kit. First, the time it takes to fully charge her Photon Projector’s alt-fire has been reduced to just one second; its projectile radius is also increased to 0.5 meters. As if that’s not interesting enough, the teleporter’s cooldown is reduced to just 12 seconds, from 16 seconds. This is noteworthy since four seconds is a lot of time in a fast-paced game like Overwatch 2.

Aside from buffs, there are also nerfs and Junker Queen is one of the affected. Her Commanding Shout ability, for example, got a few adjustments. For one, the radius has been reduced to 15 meters. On top of that, the bonus health to allies now decays over its duration. The only positive thing here is that its duration is increased to five seconds (from four).

Here are the rest of the balancing changes in this patch:

Junker Queen
  • Rampage
    • Radius reduced to 5 meters
  • Fortify
    • Now disables critical damage
  • Javelin Spin
    • Bonus movement speed increased to 50%
  • Railgun
    • Fire rate reduced to 14 shots per second
  • Railgun Alt-fire
    • Projectile radius now scales with energy level from 0 up to the previous 0.1
    • The higher the energy level, the bigger the projectile radius
  • Shield health reduced to 150 (200 total max HP)
  • Fixed a crash affecting some Xbox consoles
  • Fixed a crash affecting players launching the "Portuguese (Brazil)" language on PS5
  • Rio de Janeiro
    • Fixed bug that affected spawn doors
  • Soldier 76
    • Fixed an issue that caused Sprint to give 40% movement speed instead of 50%
  • Genji
    • Fixed an issue where Dragon Blade could sometimes get stuck as active after the duration ended
  • Junker Queen
    • Fixed an issue that caused wounds to apply to invalid targets (Barriers/Ice Wall/Turrets/etc.)
    • Fixed an issue that caused her ability icons to not appear in the kill feed
    • Fixed an issue where Carnage also applied a Jagged Blade wound effect
