The official trailer to the upcoming video game I Am Jesus Christ is officially out. This is good news for a lot of reasons, which include the release date: in the second quarter of this year.

Another reason is it gave us a peek into what to expect from the gameplay. Now, from the title, it should be obvious that players take on the role of none other than Jesus Christ himself. As if to make things even more obvious, the trailer showed us some of the "missions" that players can take on like turning water to wine, walking on water, or raising Lazarus from the dead.

I Am Jesus Christ is developed by SimulaM and has players experience an incredible first-person retelling of the story of Jesus Christ from birth and all the way to resurrection. Features of the game include:

  • Experience Christ’s life first-hand from his birth through to the crucifixion and resurrection.
  • Explore accurate recreations of significant locations in the Holy Land including Jerusalem and Galilee.
  • Perform more than 30 amazing miracles including the feeding of the 5,000 and walking on water.
  • Receive the power of the Holy Spirit and increase its power through prayer.
  • Interact with more than 60 characters, including the disciples.
  • Recreate essential events including The Last Supper.

If you're interested, I Am Jesus Christ: Prologue is free-to-play on Steam. It's a standalone game and serves as the introduction to the full version of I Am Jesus Christ.
