The Nintendo Switch – OLED Model - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition is launching on April 28. This sleek new edition features a design which appears in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game. It includes the familiar Hylian Crest from the Legend of Zelda franchise on the front of the dock. This OLED Model is priced at $359.99.

The Nintendo Switch – OLED Model system features:

  • A vibrant 7-inch OLED screen:
    • A wide adjustable stand.
    • A dock with a wired LAN port (LAN cable sold separately).
  • 64 GB of internal storage:
    • A portion is reserved for use by the system.
  • Enhanced audio in handheld and tabletop mode.

The Nintendo Switch – OLED Model system can be played in three modes:

  • TV mode: Played on a TV while the system is docked.
  • Handheld mode: When the Joy-Con controllers are attached for portable play.
  • Tabletop mode: For on-the-go multiplayer gaming sessions.

There are also two accessories which are the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller ($74.99) and Nintendo Switch carrying case ($24.99). Both have designs from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and set to be released on May 12. Players can now pre-order the new hardware and two themed accessories.

The Game

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild slated for release on May 12. In the game, players get to decide their own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule as well as the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. It's coming to Nintendo Switch, with players now allowed to pre-order the Digital Edition.

Physical editions will also be offered through the Physical Edition (Standard) and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition. In addition to the physical version of the base game, the Collectors' Edition also comes with an artbook, SteelBook case, steel poster, and a set of four pin badges.

Launching alongside the game on May 12 is the Link (Tears of the Kingdom) amiibo figure. By tapping this amiibo, players can get weapons and materials along with a special fabric for Link’s paraglider. For those who scan an amiibo from The Legend of Zelda series, they can receive helpful materials, weapons, or a paraglider fabric based on the amiibo scanned.
