With the NES: Classic Edition set to release on Nov. 11, Nintendo fans will have a good time playing 30 classic NES games.

However, the console itself does not come with a second controller, even though many of the games included in the Mini NES have two-player capability. But there are a few controllers that will allow players to hook up a second controller without having to buy one.

Of course, you can buy an official NES Classic Edition controller for $9.99 but the Mini NES also works with the Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro.

A user on the Nintendo subreddit figured out that the Wii Classic Controller works with the Mini NES. According to the post, the HOME button acts as the RESET button while the Left joystick also functions as the D-pad, X = B, Y = A.

So if you have this controller lying around, you can hook it up to your Mini NES.

Third-party manufacturer My Arcade is actually bringing a wireless NES controller to the market for those who don’t mind throwing away the nostalgia factor and want to sit back on the couch and play. They also have an extension cord for the NES controller if wireless isn’t your thing.

However you want to play, the Mini NES does have options for a second controller even if Nintendo didn’t include one. So check your drawers or wherever you hold your video game accessories and you be saving yourself some cash.

The NES Classic Edition releases Nov. 11 for $59.99.
