Move or Die , the game that ruins friendships, is taking its savage minigame madness to the most chaotic environment imaginable - Twitch chat. Those Awesome Guys announced at PAX East 2016 that a bunch of “Viewer versus Streamer” game modes are coming in an update next week. It will not only allow Twitch viewers to pick different game setting but participate in game modes too.

“It's all about Twitch integration. The viewers will be able to influence the game in real time through the chat. They’ll get to pick some game settings and mutators but also influence the game as it's going on,” said Nicolae Berbece, co-founder at Those Awesome Guys.

How does it work? Viewers will be able to vote on all sorts of things that can kill streamers as they play. A stream at PAX East 2016 generated more than 10k concurrents, which Berbece said was “absolutely crazy” to see interacting with the game.

The update also adds some new characters, including Shovel Knight and a playable Twitch logo, along with a new announcer and a new game mode.

“We have a new game mode called Heavy Bullets, inspired by the game Heavy Bullets , and we have a new announcer - Eagle Raptor - who is Arin from Game Grumps,” said Berbece.

Move Or Die is seeing a rise in popularity thanks to it’s Twitchableness. Berbece said that fans have been flocking to their booth during PAX East to try out the new game modes and play locally with friends. So far, he said, it’s been a positive experience for Those Awesome Guys even if it can be frustrating as fans.

“I get some complaints about people not being able to play because they have to wait in line,” he said. “So that’s a good problem to have.”

The “Viewers vs Streamers” free content update will be available on April 29. Move or Die is available now on Steam.
