Capcom recently announced that they had to postpone their fourth expansion update for Monster Hunter World. The delay was caused by COVID-19. Additionally, all the new voice packs such as Italian, Spanish, and French were also affected and will be replaced by simplified recordings.

You can find the new roadmap in the tweet above, but Capcom hasn’t specified a certain release date as of yet. The launch date is classified as ‘TBD’. The developers are having a harder time managing their games while they are at home without a proper team functioning.

The third expansion brought a lot of new content into the game such as:

  • Kulve Taroth has been added to master rank.
  • Arch-tempered Namielle quest has been added.-Both are available as event quests for a limited time.
  • Increased the number of weapons that can use the layered weapon feature.
  • Increased the number of bases/parts for layered weapons.
  • Appraisal weapons can now be upgraded at the Smithy.
  • Appraisal weapons can now be created at the Elder Melder.
  • New Pendants added.
  • Obtained Item Placement option added to the Options menu.

These were just a few of the additions Capcom had brought in for the third expansion, and the fourth expansion is supposedly even bigger. Only time can tell what Capcom has in store for us.

So, what are your thoughts on Monster Hunter delaying the new update? Do you think other games will slow down as well in terms of updates? Personally, I think it’s better to stay safe during this pandemic and take things slow. Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
