Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Beta Patch 1.6.48 Introduces a New Hero; Balancing Changes

Are you a mage user in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang? If so, you’d want to go to the advanced server right now to try out a new mage capable of dealing an insane amount of damage. Also, Beta Patch 1.6.48 implements balancing changes to certain heroes.

New Hero

Xavier, the Defier of Light, is now available on the game’s advanced server. Let’s first start with his passive, Transcendence. Every time Xavier hits an enemy with his skills, it gives him a stack of Energy Surge that enhances the next skill he casts. At three stacks, casting a skill allows him to enter a state of Transcendence, which maximizes all his skills while reducing their cooldown.

His first skill is Infinite Extension. When cast, Xavier fires a Mystic Bullet that deals magic damage to enemies hit in its path. Its flying distance increases each time the Bullet hits an enemy.

When his Mystic Field (second ability) is cast, he conjures a Mystic Barrier (which looks like a wall) that slows enemies down and speeds allies up when they pass through it. It expands into a circular field when hit by his Mystic Bullet.

His ultimate skill is called Dawning Light. Xavier will fire a global Mystic Bolt that damages enemies in its path. Using this automatically puts him in a Transcendence state.

Balancing Changes
  • Doll Buster (passive)
    • New Effect: For every 4 attacks, Melissa's next Basic Attack deals 100 extra damage (applied in the previous version)
  • Go! Muddles!
    • Skill casting method adjusted
  • Charged Punch
    • Duration increased to 3 seconds
    • Damage slightly reduced
  • Charged Punch (Lieh)
    • Slow duration reduced to 0.2 seconds
    • Damage slightly reduced
  • Instant Blast
    • Extra damage reduction reduced to 25%
  • Instant Blast (Lieh)
    • Extra damage reduction reduced to 25%
    • Stun duration reduced to 1.25 seconds
  • My Turn (Ultimate)
    • Casting range increased to 2.3
    • HP Regen on kill reduced to 25%
  • Fighting Spirit
    • Damage boost reduced to 130%
  • Invisible Armor
    • Extra movement speed now decays faster
  • Slayer Shards
    • Reverted to the official server version
  • Endless Shards
    • Shifted most of the damage to the final hit so the opposing players may dodge the damage using Blink or skills that grant Invincibility. Also slightly lowered the AOE damage.
  • Void Blast
    • Cooldown increased to 6-2.5 seconds
  • Real World Manipulation (Ultimate)
    • Cooldown increased to 75-55 seconds
    • Mana cost increased to 180-260
