The Mini NES Classic Edition was recently made available for pre-order on Amazon worldwide, where it proceeded to sell out within minutes.

The NES Classic Edition is scheduled to launch Nov. 11. Features include the following:

  • The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition has the original look and feel, only smaller, sleeker, and pre-loaded with 30 games

  • The pre-installed games include: Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, PAC-MAN, Dr. Mario, Mega Man, Final Fantasy and dozens more

  • Includes a standard HDMI cable

  • Comes with one old-school, grey-colored NES Classic Controller and an AC adapter

  • Also compatible with Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro. Additional NES Classic Controllers will be sold separately

The mini console will not support virtual console or digital media and its only connections are HDMI and two controller ports. This means that WiFi, USB, SD and so on will not be an option for use with the system.

However, the mini console will feature different display options and permanent save points. Nintendo of Canada Communications Manager Julie Gagnon confirmed the NES Classic Edition will include a pixel perfect option to simulate a CRT’s retro look and a 4:3 aspect ratio display option.

While the pre-order stock at Amazon, Best Buy and Toys R Us is now sold out, you can sign up to be alerted to new restocks here.
