Mass Effect: Andromeda ’s Skill Tree is easy to navigate. The game doesn’t force you to commit to a specific play style, so you can always adjust skills according to your needs. There are three main skills in the tree: Combat, Biotics and Tech. Each skill found in these categories contains specific perks for your character.

First, some basics. Biotics perks improve your characters close combat skills and overall movement. Tech perks contain buffs and debuffs to help shift the tides of battle. And lastly, Combat skills increase your overall damage and increase the effectiveness of your arsenal.

Within each skill there are six ranks. Increasing the rank will give you new perks and raise the effectiveness of the skill. Now that we have the basics out of the way, check out the list below for all the Biotic abilities included in the Mass Effect: Andromeda Skill Tree.

BIOTICS

ANNIHILATION- uses mass effect fields to damage nearby enemies

  • RANK 1- increases effect radius

  • RANK 2- reduces recharge speed penalty of powers by -10 percent

  • RANK 3- +15 percent damage

  • RANK 4- -50 percent Power Recharge Penalty

  • RANK 5- +50 percent movement speed for all allies

  • RANK 6- suspends unarmored, unshielded, normal-sized enemies in air for 8 s.

BACKLASH- creates frontal biotic aegis barrier to reduce effectiveness of physical attacks and blocks projectiles

  • RANK 1- Aegis Health: 350, Projectile Damage Returned: 150 percent, Frontal Damage Protection: 75

  • RANK 2- +25 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 3- +25 percent aegis health

  • RANK 4- +30 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 5- +100 percent projectile damage returned

  • RANK 6- damage inflicted increases for 3s after release

BARRIER- boosts all normal shields.

  • RANK 1- +25 percent max shields

  • RANK 2- +25 percent shield regen, +25 percent health & shield regen delay reduction

  • RANK 3- +30 percent melee damage

  • RANK 4- +30 percent health & shield regen delay reduction, +30 percent shield regen

  • RANK 5- partially restores shields with successful melee attack

  • RANK 6- Restores shields to full strength once every 10s when health is low

CHARGE- Launches player towards an enemy. Restores some shield strength and detonates combo primers at opponents.

  • RANK 1- Damage: 250, Force: 500, Recharge Time (s): 8, Shields Restored: 50 percent

  • RANK 2- +25 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 3- +20 percent damage, +25 percent force

  • RANK 4- inflicts damage to enemies within 3m radius

  • RANK 5- Increases powers’ effectiveness for 5s after charging

  • RANK 6- Restores shields and reduces damage for 5s

LANCE- destroys small area with a blast of energy

  • RANK 1- Impact Radius (m): 1, Damage: 350, Force: 400, Recharge Time (s): 10

  • RANK 2- +10 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 3- +15 percent damage, +15 percent force

  • RANK 4- +100 percent damage radius

  • RANK 5- +40 percent damage vs. shields

  • RANK 6- no recharge time, uses 33 percent shields when used

NOVA- uses energy to produce high damage explosion

  • RANK 1- Effect Radius (m): 4, Area Damage: 350, Force: 450, Recharge Time (s): 12

  • RANK 2- +25 percent damage radius

  • RANK 3- +15 percent damage, +25 percent force

  • RANK 4- +40 percent damage radius

  • RANK 5- +60 percent damage vs. shields

  • RANK 6- no recharge time, uses 50 percent shields when used

OFFENSIVE BIOTICS-

  • RANK 1- +10 percent power damage

  • RANK 2- +5 percent weapon damage

  • RANK 3- +10 percent power damage, +20 percent power force

  • RANK 4- +15 percent power recharge speeds

  • RANK 5- +30 percent all combo damage, +30 percent all combo radiuses

  • RANK 6- increases weapon and melee damage for 3s

PULL- hurl your target into the air

  • RANK 1- Duration (s): 5, Recharge Time (s): 8

  • RANK 2- +20 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 3- +40 percent Duration

  • RANK 4- affects two enemies within 4m radius

  • RANK 5- targets take more damage

  • RANK 6- restores shields when skill is being used on enemy

SHOCKWAVE- use explosions to blast enemies through walls and objects.

  • RANK 1- Area of Effect Radius (m): 1.5, Damage: 225, Force: 525, Recharge Time (s): 15

  • RANK 2- +10 percent Recharge Speed

  • RANK 3- +15 percent damage, +15 percent force

  • RANK 4- +50 percent damage radius

  • RANK 5- + 50 percent shockwave distance

  • RANK 6- enemies are briefly suspended in air

SINGULARITY- creates gravity to trap unshielded and unarmored enemies.

  • RANK 1- Radius (m): 3, DPS: 35, Duration (s): 8, Recharge Time (s): 24

  • RANK 2- +10 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 3- +25 percent DPS

  • RANK 4- +25 percent effect radius

  • RANK 5- +25 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 6- radius increases 200 percent will in use

THROW- uses biotic projectile to damage enemies

  • RANK 1- Damage on World Collision: 225, Force: 850, Recharge Time (s): 8

  • RANK 2- +10 percent recharge speed

  • RANK 3- +20 percent damage, +20 percent force

  • RANK 4- affects enemies within 2.5m radius

  • RANK 5- +25 percent Recharge Speed

  • RANK 6- +30 percent combo detonation damage, +25 percent recharge speed
