Mass Effect: Andromeda may say it’s about space travel and interplanetary intrigue, but let’s be honest with ourselves: it’s all about getting that sweet, sweet booty. Between Cora, Peebee, Liam, Jaal and the others, there’s plenty of opportunities to do the horizontal tango. Follow this guide to get the guy or girl of your dreams.

General Relationship Tips

Regardless of who you are attempting to court, there are a few basic tips to start a fling with someone in Mass Effect: Andromeda:

• When talking to someone, always be on the lookout for the Heart response. It seems to always be a selection on the left side of the wheel

• If the Heart response isn’t available, pick the top-left option on the wheel. It’s the one with the heart on the head.

• You can have romantic interactions with more than just the ship’s crew. Be on the lookout while out on planets or the Nexus for anyone who may be giving you the eyes.

• Many romances will work if you are a male or female, but some are locked to one or the other. If you are a lady, and want to get with Gil, you’re barking up the wrong tree.

• Read all of the emails from the character of your affection

• Even if you don’t think there’s anything to talk about, make sure you try to talk to your person of interest again and again, you may get a surprise conversation out of it.

• If you want to romance a character, complete the missions associated with that character.

  • On your way to completing Peebee’s loyalty mission, you’ll have the opportunity for some no-strings-attached stress relief. If you want to romance someone, but still get some Asari loving, here’s your opportunity.

• REYES ROMANCE SPOILERS: You’ll need to let Reyes kill Sloane if you want to romance him.

Male Ryder Romances

These are the confirmed people a male Ryder can romance. Some romances end in exclusivity, some allow you to remain friends.

• Peebee

  • Can have "friendly" relationship or exclusive relationship

• Vetra

  • Exclusive relationship only

• Keri, the reporter on the Nexus

  • Never exclusive, can still have a fling with her even if in a committed relationship

• Cora

  • Exclusive relationship only

• Reyes, the rogue at Kadara Port

  • Can have "friendly" relationship or exclusive relationship

• Avela, the curator at the Angaran Repository of History

  • Fling only

• Gil

  • Can have "friendly" relationship or exclusive relationship

Female Ryder Romances

These are the confirmed people a female Ryder can romance.

• Peebee

  • Can have "friendly" relationship or exclusive relationship

• Liam

  • Can have "friendly" relationship or exclusive relationship

• Keri, the reporter on the Nexus

  • Can only have a fling

• Jaal

  • Can have "friendly" relationship or exclusive relationship

• Suvi

  • Can only have exclusive relationship

• Vetra

  • Can only have exclusive relationship

• Reyes, the rogue at Kadara Port

  • Can have "friendly" relationship or exclusive relationship
