With all these recent releases that are in store for Halloween, Nintendo joins in on the action with a “horror” title of their own.
In a tweet from the official Nintendo Twitter page, it’s been confirmed that Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be making its way exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on October 31, just in time for Halloween. Check out the tweet below.

The tweet was also accompanied by a short teaser, which shows Luigi inside the Last Resort hotel being jump scared by King Boo. There are some new gameplay mechanics to be gleaned in this newest title, some of which were showcased in a trailer released by Nintendo back at the game’s spotlight during E3. Check it out below.
In Luigi’s Mansion 3, you play once again as Luigi embarking on a dream vacation alongside Mario and friends. After receiving an invitation to a very luxurious hotel, things take a turn when King Boo reveals that the invitation was a ploy to capture the Italian plumber and his friends. Luigi manages to escape his clutches, and, once again with the assistance of Professor E. Gadd, must overcome his cowardly nature to traverse the spooky mansion and save Mario and the gang.
This time around, though, Luigi comes better prepared as he wields an upgraded Poltergust G-00 (goo, get it?) against the ghosts that plague the mansion. It can now suck a ghost partway to slam him against a group of ghosts, which is effective if you’re being overwhelmed by a lot of spirits. He’s also enlisted a gooey double, aptly named Gooigi, in order to help him traverse the spooky mansion. Obstacles like spikes, tight spaces and bars are no match for Gooigi, and he also comes equipped with his own Poltergust G-00 to help Luigi move bigger objects out of the way.
