While Link’s tunic is usually an iconic adventurer’s green, it seems that blue will be Link’s default color of choice in Breath of the Wild. This may be a nod to the passage of time, with Breath of the Wild appearing to take place in a post-apocalyptic Hyrule. Breath of the Wild may in fact link up to the grittier Twilight Princess, in a world that has been laid waste by a being called “Calamity Ganon.”

While Link’s new tunic may not be the classic green, we know that Link will have access to a lot of crafting in Breath of the Wild ’s gameplay. Link usually has access to at least three colors of outfit: red, blue and green. If Link’s default tunic is blue, will the green tunic give him access to some all-new powers? Or might that perhaps be Link's link to the legends of old?
