There are a lot of changes implemented in this update, including the return of the Chemtech Drake, now fully reworked.

Chemtech Drake

The infamous drake of the recent past is back and better than before. That’s right, the Chemtech Drake has returned and this time, it will grant players 5% Tenacity and 5% Healing and Shielding power for every slayed Chemtech Drake. Getting the Chemtech Soul grants the killing team a buff of 10% damage resistance and 10% more damage while below 50% health, which is a good for fights in general.

Chemtech Rift

If the Dragon Soul is coming from the Chemtech Drake, the Rift will be converted into a Chemtech Rift, spawning different Stim Fruits, Blast Cones, and Firelight Bloom. Check out the details below:

  • The Stim Fruits are upgraded Honeyfruits that heals and grants a shield without slowing Champions upon consumption.
  • Blast Cones will now send Champions farther away, almost twice as far away when they explode. It can go both ways, so pop them wisely.
  • Firelight Bloom is basically an upgraded Scryer’s Bloom. When broken, allies will get movement speed toward the area it gives vision for a short time and take down the health of all revealed wards to one, making it easy to get rid of enemy vision.

New Communication Tools

In this update, the developers extended the tactical wheel to help teammates communicate better. The eight pings on the new wheel are as follows:

  • Returning Pings (clockwise): Retreat (formerly Danger), On My Way, Assist Me, Enemy Missing.
  • New Pings (clockwise): Push, All-In, Hold, Bait.

These pings are designed to improve team coordination during fights. Let’s hope that players can really maximize the ping system now having eight pings that sound the most crucial things in the minimap.

The Vision Wheel is an entirely new section that displays Vision Cleared, Enemy Vision, and Need Vision from left to right of the HUD. The Need Vision ping will leave a small mark for a minute or until a player places a ward nearby.

More details about the update can be found on the official website of League of Legends.
