League of Legends Update 12.18 is the patch most pros and players have been waiting for, the patch of Worlds 2022. In this update, the developers nerf six champions before League of Legends' biggest tournament.

Here, we will focus on the nerfs for the overtuned Miss Fortune and unkillable Kayn.

Miss Fortune

Miss Fortune got a massive buff last patch on three of her abilities. The developers had to hotfix her Strut (W) ability in Patch 12.17 because she could spam it while getting amazing attack speed. Well, that hotfix didn’t make her any weaker. So, the developers are nerfing her further in this patch by reducing her attack damage growth and health growth. These changes should make her squishier and a vulnerable target, especially during her ultimate.

Base Stats

The reduction in attack damage growth should reduce her overall damage, making her a weaker champion compared to what she was in Patch 12.17.

  • Attack Damage Growth: From 2.7 to 2.4
  • Health Growth: From 107 to 103

Kayn

Shadow Assassin Kayn took a major hit since the launch of the Durability Update. However, his alter form, Rhaast has been performing well, and it is the most preferred option for most Kayn players in solo queue. The Rhaast form offers good damage while being durable because of the healing. In this update, the developers are nerfing the damage from the Reaping Slash (Q) ability.

Reaping Slash (Q)

The bonus AD damage is reduced in this patch, which should make Rhaast slightly weaker. This change may level a Kayn with an insane amount of sustain and multiple completed items. For Kayn mains, the idea of the nerf is to make Rhaast a healing tank.

  • Darkin Damage: From 65% AD (+5% of the target's max health (+5% per 100% bonus AD)) to 65% AD (+5% of the target's max health (+3.5% per 100% bonus AD))

Similarly, Hecarim, Kalista, Lulu, and Nocturne have received nerfs in this update, and you can read more about them here.
