League of Legends Patch 11.16 is already in the live servers, which means players can expect the next update is coming to PBE. Patch 11.17 brings changes to Amumu and Lucian while some Champions have been adjusted.

Amumu Changes

Amumu will have some really nice changes in the next update. His Bandage Toss (Q) ability will have two charges with a recharge time of 14 seconds. This may give Amumu mains another chance after a failed first.

In addition, Bandage Toss will have higher damage of 80/130/180/230/280 and will have a cooldown of flat three seconds instead of scaling, thereby allowing players to use this ability more often.

Amumu’s Despair (W) ability will deal damage of [6/8/10/12/14 + 0.5/0.575/0.65/0.725/0.8% (+0.25% per 100 AP) of target’s maximum health] per tick, which is slightly higher than the previous patch.

His ultimate, Curse of the Sad Mummy (R), will have a stun duration flatten to 1.5 seconds on all levels. In the previous patch, the stun duration starts at 1.5 seconds at level 1, with two seconds at max level.

Lucian Changes

According to Tim “Truexy” Jiang, associate game designer for League of Legends, Lucian will be tweaked in the upcoming update as well.

In a recent blog post, Truexy said that they are going to make Lucian good in the bottom lane without making him overpowered in other areas.

His solo lane early damage will be decreased slightly but he will gain bonus on-hit damage when he is buffed by his allies.

Lucian’s ultimate ability, The Culling, will be much more potent as it scales better with crit, though its base damage will be lowered to account for this.

Truexy tweeted that the proposed changes are now available in the PBE.

Other Tweaks

After implementing some buffs upon release, developers are now toning Akshan down a bit by nerfing his Heroic Swing.

The ability will have its damage dealt per shot decreased to 30/50/70/90/110 (+17.5% base AD) (1 + 30% bonus attack speed).

Tahm Kench will also have a slight nerf to its Devour (R) ability as the recast time has increased to two seconds.

Besides Champion tweaks, the Fleet Footwork rune has been adjusted as well. The rune’s healing will be 30% more effective for melee Champions, though the effectiveness of ranged healing from minions has decreased to 10%.

More changes may be coming soon. What do you think of the Patch 11.17 preview thus far?
