Katy Perry Is Releasing A Video Game Along With Her New Album

A treat for Katy Cats.

Looks like the Katy Cats have two reasons to celebrate today. The first is that Katy Perry released Smile today. This is her sixth album and comes three years after the release of Witness. However, that’s not all that’s arriving.

Before releasing the album, Katy Perry had already dropped two singles, which were the songs Daisies and Smile. In the music video for Smile, we see her playing a circus-themed video game. Well, it looks like we are getting that game as an actual release, which is called Katy’s Quest.

The game is powered by Alienware, and you can give it a go here.

We actually gave it a try and well, it’s not that difficult. It’s a side-scrolling game where you play a character called Katy Clown who must help the people of the circus find their smiles. There are multiple characters, which also means different types of games to make them smile.

While playing, you get to hum to the tune of Smile. It’s actually a relaxing game that you can play in between breaks. Don’t take our word for it, go ahead and give it a chance.

The Smile album is envisioned by Katy Perry to focus on self-help and empowerment. The Standard Edition has 12 tracks with the Fan Edition adding four more, for a total of 16 tracks.

August 28 looks to be a good day for music with not only Katy Perry releasing an album. On the same day, Blackpink released its latest single, Ice Cream, which is a collaboration with Selena Gomez. There is also Evanesence’s new single Use My Voice.

Over in the world of gaming, video games are not taking it sitting down. Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions has been released today for the PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Madden NFL 21 is launching as well today along with Project CARS 3 and Wasteland 3. Another game released for the Switch is Jump Force. There’s also a lot coming in the next few months.

There’s no question that whether you like music or video games, today is a pretty good day to enjoy both. What about you? What are you most excited about today?
