PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' sixth season is going to be live soon, but in the meantime you can get your hands on the brand new map, Karain, on the test servers. Karain is a 2x2km map that will put you in intense and fast-paced gunfights as soon as you drop. The map has five settlements on the coast and multiple open spaces where you can easily get picked off by a cheeky sniper. PUBG Corps described Karain saying that players will experience Miramar's tension and Sanhok's speed. Moreover, Karain is said to be a dynamic map with 'Black Zones', transforming the areas they strike.

Black Zones can damage buildings or completely destroy them, leaving players out in the open. Players will hear a siren before the Black Zone initiates and must escape as soon as possible. To take the experience up a notch, Karain also has breach spots that can be breached using sticky bombs, found only on this island. Breach points allow players to sneak up on enemies and lay a surprise assault through breachable walls and ceilings. Bullets can also penetrate some walls, requiring players to be more tactical in their camping approach. Check out the PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds' reveal trailer below:

PUBG Corps also mentioned that to ensure lower queue times, rotating map slots are being introduced. Rotating map slots are essentially a temporary non-permanent map slot that will change periodically. In the first rotation, Vikendi will be removed from the map slot, making room for Karain.

Additionally, later in the season players can expect to see a new Panzerfaust rocket launcher and a new way to interact with Black Zones.
